Frame solutions
Reinforced columns and beams are the most common basic components for the structural frame of a commercial or office building. Owing to longer spans, pre-stressed beams have partially superseded reinforced concrete beams.
In industrial building construction, beams are often pre-stressed whereas columns are normal reinforced concrete columns. As early as the planning phase, the columns and beams are created into a frame system that is as clear as possible, fulfils the requirements set for the premises and takes into account repeatability as is reasonable for production.
Pre-stressed concrete beams are typically used in house building with spans ranging from 10 to 40 metres. The standard production includes several types of I and HI beams. In addition to them, we produce L-shaped beams and cross-shaped beams. In particular, the use of shallow L-beams (height of flange 10 cm) has increased, as the trend is to make structures lower. When using shallow L-beams, it is easier, for example, to lay pipes onto the soffits of floors. Owing to long spans, pre-stressed concrete beams are excellent for the building of bridges.
